Before you train

Liability waiver.

This waiver covers the Humance Launch Activation on Sunday 1 November 2026 at GRIT Studios, Jumeirah, Dubai (the "Event"), organised by Humance and hosted by GRIT Studios (together, the "Organisers"). By ticking the waiver box on the RSVP form you agree to everything below.

1. What you are signing up for

The Event includes a coached strength and conditioning class. Training of this kind is physically demanding. It carries a risk of injury, including muscle strains, sprains, falls, contact with equipment or other participants, and, in rare cases, serious injury or cardiac events.

2. Your health

  • You are 18 or over.
  • You are in good health and physically able to take part in vigorous exercise.
  • You have no medical condition, injury or pregnancy-related restriction that makes taking part unsafe, or you have been cleared by a doctor to take part.
  • You will tell a coach before the session about anything that could affect your training.
  • You will train within your own limits, follow coaching instructions, and stop if you feel unwell.

3. Assumption of risk

You take part voluntarily and you accept the risks that come with physical training and with being in a gym environment.

4. Release

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, you release the Organisers, their coaches, staff and partners from liability for injury, illness, loss or damage to you or your belongings arising from your participation in the Event. Nothing in this waiver limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

5. Emergency care

If you are injured or become unwell, you agree that the Organisers may arrange first aid or emergency medical care for you, at your cost where it is charged.

6. Your belongings

You are responsible for your own belongings at the venue.

7. Photos and video

The Event will be photographed and filmed, and footage may be used by Humance and GRIT Studios on their channels. If you would rather not appear, tell the team at check-in and we will keep you out of it.

8. Governing law

This waiver is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
